The Bridgelux chip is a cheaper alternative to the more expensive CREE lineup.
455nm is the standard blue used on reef tanks. You can mix this in with 4500K Neutral Whites at a 1 Royal Blue 1 Neutral White ratio to achieve close to a 14k look.
***WARNING*** Even though the max for these LEDs is 700mA we recommend keeping them around 500mA (70% intensity) which is still ALOT of light. At 700mA you need silver adhesive applied at an extremely thin layer and a CPU style heatsink to keep them from burning.
Best driver to use for these (6-14 LEDs) is a 40w 700mA Inventroincs driver tuned down to about 500ma using a POT. If you need help choosing a driver, feel free to contact us.

Replaced flourescent Actinics with these. Corals are looking better then ever. Dont bother with other lighting. At these prices build you own hood and heatsink add some whites and be done for a long long time. Another advantage is dimming. Adjust the intensity and find the sweet spot for your application.
