Often mistaken for UV LED, this 430nm LED is in the perfect range for coral growth and fluorescence
Combine this with the CREE XT-E Royal Blue, which runs at 455nm, to get the perfect range of Violet / Royal Blue for your corals to make them really "pop"
These 430nm LEDs run at 880-960mW radiant power @ 700mA
These LEDs will look dim to you because of their 430nm wavelength which is almost outside the range your eyes can see but they will provide incredible PAR for corals.

As of this writing, nothing still comes close to the output and spectral half-width of these violets in a single chip (others require multiple chips of different wavelengths to get the same spread). Mix these with the 410nm to touch more on the lower violet side without getting too far into UV (which can fluoresce particulate matter in the tank and be distracting) and you've got an extremely powerful addition to your array to pump it full of PAR without changing the color of the light.

Just added some new ones of these to replace my old ones - brilliant LED makes the corals pop. Great for coral growth also.

These are so awesome I've decided to order two of the 405nm... they bring out amazing colors. Just beware that to our eyes they spear to be dim. Most of the light they emit is out of our range, but great for the corals.

Great LEDs. Provided tremendous coral growth over a short period of time, not to mention good color rendition.
